We are located 8 miles from
Flora, IL. We hunt 2400 acres of
prime habitat in Wayne and Clay
County IL. We have members
from all over the U.S. and they
have year round access to the
ground and cabin. The ground is
broken up by hardwood timber,
bottoms, agriculture, fence
rows, crp and food plots. We
have had an 130 inch rule on
bucks for the last 5 years and
have harvested animals into the
180's B&C.
We hunt all Illinois game species
but we spend most of the time in
the woods bow hunting the
elusive IL monster whitetail
buck. The Illinois gun season
also provides us with an
opportunity to harvest a good
buck. Be sure to check back

Rules and Regulations of Elm River Hunt Club

1.    All rules and regulation of the IL Game Code will be followed.
2.    All IL criminal laws will be followed
3.    Cabin key and alarm code will only be held by members
4.    Cabin reservations for parties or family gathering will be made 1 week in advance
5.    No smoking in cabin or woods
6.    Property damage will be paid for by responsible member.
7.    Cabin will be cleaned after use
8.    Visitors will be allowed to hunt if approved by majority of members
9.    1 visitor per member unless approved by majority of members
10. Members have preference on stand location
11. Cabin can be rented out for a price of $75.00 per night if not reserved by a member
12. 8 point ear width rule on all mature bucks unless other wise agreed by members
13. Safety harness must be worn
14. Elm River Hunt Club is not responsible for accidents.
15. Membership shall be $2000.00 per year due by Sept 1st.
16. If a major violation occurs a membership can be revoked if agreed by all members.
17. There shall be no more than 14 members unless approved by majority of members or
       more land is acquired to compensate.
18. Guests can take unlimited doe. If a buck is harvested by a guest it counts as 1 of the
       members 2 bucks who brought the guest.
19. Penalty for shooting and underclass buck will be $100.00 on button bucks, $250.00
    Antlered deer. If a second offense occurs a review will occur. Non-Members who
    take an underclass buck will be banned from hunting.
