FIREARM DEER PERMITS (Shotgun, Muzzleloader, Late-Winter
and CWD)
2009 Season Dates:
November 20, 21, 22 (first season)
December 3, 4, 5, 6 (second season)
Application Dates:
1st lottery deadline - April 30: Residents only
2nd lottery deadline - August 14: First time applicants, Non-Residents & rejected
applicants
Random daily drawings - Sept 15 - Nov 6: multiple permits
October 19th- Remaining Random Daily Drawing County Permits will be sold over
the counter on a first come, first serve basis. Permits will be sold until quotas are
exhausted or until the close of the firearm season.
Residents only - Apply online (Firearm & Muzzleloader) beginning late March
MUZZLELOADER - ONLY DEER PERMITS
Season Dates:
Dec 11, 12, 13 and Dec 3, 4, 5, 6 (second firearm season)
Application Dates:

The cost of a Resident Either-Sex Muzzleloader-only deer permit: $15
The cost of a Resident Antlerless-Only Muzzleloader-only deer permit: $15
The cost of a Resident Combination Muzzleloader-only deer permit (either-sex and
antlerless-only): $30
Non-Resident Muzzleloader-only Permit Fees:
The cost of a Non-Resident Either-Sex Muzzleloader-only deer permit: $250
The cost of a Non-Resident Antlerless-Only Muzzleloader-only deer permit: $15
The cost of a Non-Resident Combination Muzzleloader-only deer permit (either-sex
and antlerless-only): $265
ARCHERY DEER PERMITS
Season Dates:
October 1 - January 14 in Cook, DuPage, Lake and portions of Kane County east of
State Rt 47 . October 1 - January 14 in all other counties except that archery hunting
is CLOSED November 20, 21, 22 and December 3, 4, 5, 6 for the two firearm deer
seasons. Hunters must wear blaze orange during the Youth Season October 10,
11 and the December 11, 12, 13
and CWD)
